3 years ago, Parker headed off to Western Europe. He had been planning a solo backpacking trip, specifically the Tour du Mont Blanc — it’s a 7-11 day trek through France, Switzerland, and Italy. 5 days into his hike, Parker reached the Fenêtre d'Arpette pass, when he heard a faint cry for help echo in the distance. Unknown at the time, Leah had also set off for the same hike as a solo trip. She was one day ahead of Parker on the trail, when she tripped and rolled 10 feet into a steep ravine, spraining her ankle and breaking her phone in the process. Unable to use her phone to call for help, Leah’s only hope was for someone to come along the same path and find her. As the hours passed, she was starting to lose faith. But, fate intervened, putting Parker in the right place at the right time. Parker followed the cries and came across the ravine Leah was stuck in. He took the rappel gear out of his backpack and climbed down to get her out. Back on the trail, he continued to carry her 1.5 miles to the nearest mountain hut. Leah and Parker both felt an instant connection, and the rest is history! ...Just kidding. We met on a dating app.

We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day! The dress code is formal attire. We kindly ask that you leave your jeans at home. Gentlemen may wear a suit and tie. Ladies may wear floor-length, tea-length, midi formal dresses, or dressy separates. Pops of color are welcome!

Hotel Room Block

We have rooms blocked at the DoubleTree in St. Augustine for 4 nights: Thursday, December 3Friday, December 4Saturday, December 5Sunday, December 6 You are able to book any of the above nights for a fixed, discounted rate. The hotel is conveniently located just outside of downtown St. Augustine. We will be staying there from Thursday through Saturday night and would love to be surrounded by our family and friends!

Shuttle Service

We know how difficult parking can be in downtown St. Augustine, especially during the Night of Lights. To help with this, we will be providing a shuttle service from the DoubleTree to the venue on Sunday afternoon, and back to the hotel after the reception has ended.

Booking

You may book online or by phone. When booking by phone please reference the "Talsky-Martin Wedding." To book online, please click the WEBSITE button below. Make sure CDT92X is filled in as the Group Code under Special Rates. There is a limited amount of rooms per night, but we are able to add more as needed. If you are trying to book for a specific date(s) and are seeing results with a price different than $279 per night, please reach out to Leah or Parker so that we can add more to the block.

Booking Deadline

Please book your hotel room(s) no later than November 3, 2026. The DoubleTree will no longer be able to apply the discounted rate for bookings made on November 4 or later.

Travel

A shuttle service will be provided for those staying at the DoubleTree through our room block. It will leave from the hotel to take guests to the ceremony and back once the reception has ended.

If you will not be using the shuttle service through the room block at the DoubleTree and are in need of a parking spot, please text Leah (516-404-9496) or Parker (352-406-8401) in order to claim a spot. Please reserve your spot by November 1.

Additional Parking Options

There is a paid parking garage located at 1 Cordova Street. This is about a 10-15 minute walk to the venue. St. Augustine also has a variety of paid public parking lots available downtown. These lots are a 5-15 minute walk to the venue depending on the location. Their availability varies depending on crowd levels.

If you do not have a parking spot reserved and will not be using the shuttle service, we recommend you arrive early to give yourself enough time to find a spot and walk to the venue.

The 33rd Annual&nbsp;Nights of Lights&nbsp;dazzles with more than&nbsp;three million lights&nbsp;adorning every corner of the historic district. This award-winning holiday lights display runs from Saturday, November 21, 2026, to January 18, 2027 throughout historic downtown St. Augustine. Nights of Lights is&nbsp;free&nbsp;and open to everyone—no tickets are required to enjoy.

Night of Lights

St. George Street is one of the most recognizable and visited areas in St. Augustine. A pedestrian-only route through historic downtown, it’s lined with colonial-era buildings, courtyards, and a mix of museums, restaurants, shops, and historic landmarks.

A "hop-on, hop-off" narrated trolley tour that makes over 20 unique stops at different points of interest throughout St. Augustine. Passengers can disembark at any of the stops to explore and re-board later, with trolleys arriving every 15–30 minutes.

Old Town Trolley Tours

If you love the holiday season, then this attraction is for you. Take a ride on Old Town Trolley’s Nights of Lights Tour to experience the glow of the season and more than 3 million sparkling white lights adorning every corner of the city, stretching for nearly 20 blocks. Sing along to holiday carols and wear magical viewing glasses for a fully-immersive holiday experience. Don't forget to finish it all off with complimentary sugar cookies and warm apple cider!

The Castillo de San Marcos, the oldest masonry fort in the continental United States, is a large Spanish stone fortress built to protect and defend Spain's claims in the New World. It is a National Monument, more than 327 years old, and is the oldest structure in St. Augustine.

Ripley’s first, oldest, and largest permanent museum, St. Augustine, was opened on December 9, 1950. It is situated in a historic 1887 building, Castle Warden, that was a hotel once owned by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings (author of&nbsp;The Yearling) and where Ripley himself stayed several times in the 1940s. Today, the 20,000-square-foot attraction boasts three floors of exhibits, including some of Robert Ripley’s original collection!

The St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park, founded in 1893, is&nbsp;a historic Florida attraction and modern AZA-accredited zoo. It features every living species of crocodilian, along with other reptiles, birds, and monkeys. Highlights include the "Crocodile-Crossing" zipline, Maximo (a 15-foot crocodile), and a natural bird rookery.

St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park

The St. Augustine Lighthouse &amp; Maritime Museum is&nbsp;a 165-foot-tall, active 19th-century lighthouse located on Anastasia Island, Florida. Built between 1871–1874, it serves as a non-profit museum and maritime attraction offering tower climbs, shipwreck, and history exhibits. Visitors can climb 219 steps to view the Atlantic Ocean and Matanzas Bay.
